“Der Eiserne Adler” (The Iron Eagle). This painting was completed when I was in college in 2000. It has an inaccurate propeller due to my using a replica DR-1 as a reference. I may go back and fix this detail as the painting is still in my possession. At the time I was pleased at how this painting came out. It was fun making up the ground and sky, and placing the SE5 in a relationship to the implied action of the Fokker.
