This was my first real attempt at painting way back in 1995. I chose Major George Preddy’s Cripes A’Mighty as the subject on the day he was killed, December 25 1944. George Preddy was a native of Greensboro NC and was the top P-51 Mustang ace of the war. There are quite a few mistakes in this painting, for instance the 109s paint jobs are just all wrong. But it was a good first attempt at painting for a 16 year old.
